Tours details: The enormous areas of highland plains, savanna, savanna woods, and forests make up the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It was created in 1959 as a multi-use region, where wildlife and semi-nomadic Maasai pastoralists engaged in traditional livestock grazing coexisted. This territory includes the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, the largest crater in the world. Flamingos that live in the lake are the reason for Lake Manyara National Park’s fame. Thousands of them live around the lake’s borders during the wet season, but during the dry season they are less common. The park is home to more than 400 different bird species, many of which are year-round residents. Lake Manyara National Park is a fantastic location for bird watching as a result. On any given day, park visitors can anticipate seeing upwards of 100 different bird species.
Day 0: Touchdown in Tanzania
You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and taken to your hotel in Moshi town. No meals are included.
Day 1: Drive from Moshi to Lake Manyara
Drive from Moshi to Lake Manyara Park at 06:30 hours for wildlife drives with picnic lunches; Lake Manyara is a renowned national park because of its lions that can climb trees. Due to the water coming from the Ngorongoro Highlands, the area is green throughout the entire year. In the evening, drive to your preferred lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater
Early in the morning, go for Ngorongoro Crater for wildlife drives with picnic lunches. The Ngorongoro Crater is a sizable volcanic crater that is home to a remarkable ecosystem that is suitable for the survival and preservation of a wide variety of species, from lions to unusually enormous rhinos with horns. The crater’s interior is 600 metres deep, and its 20 km-wide floor is home to a variety of animals as well as ponds and pools. After eating lunch next to the hippo pool, you’ll start the drive back to your hotel in Moshi for dinner and the night.
The Shalom Trekking Adventure driver will take you to the airport at the conclusion of the safari so that you can catch your flight home or choose to climb a mountain.
